So what is Milly?

Milly is a line of designer clothing created by Michelle Smith, who studied fashion first in New York, then in Paris at the l’Ecole Supérieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode (ESMOD). Michelle interned for renowned labels Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Hermes.

Milly, named after Michelle’s childhood nickname, was formed in 2000, producing fashion for modern women. Corporate headquarters are located in Manhattan, but the first Milly boutique was opened in Tokyo, Japan.

Michelle is passionate about clothing and her designs focus on feminine touches. Milly dresses feature girly style designs spattered with floral prints, making every woman feel young and pretty.

What is Milly About?

Milly is all about modern, however, and the 2010 collection features a metallic jacquard halter dress. Other favorites are the stunning combo day dress in orange, and the minidress. Milly dresses, generally short and flirty, rarely go past the mid-thigh.

Another trademark of the Milly dress is the allure of bold colors and feminine silhouettes, embodying every woman’s need to feel both feminine and in control of her life. Matching up a wide variety of fabrics and elegant prints and patterns, each outfit is a bold statement in design.

Milly dresses are available at high-end retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdales, starting at about $250 US. You can also see the entire line and order directly from their website at millyny.com.
